New York 2015

New York 2015

Hey Everyone,

This is my first blog post and I’m kind of new to this whole blogging thing so please bear with me. I have been wanting to start a blog for a long time and I thought I would start with this blog post.

I hope you enjoy it!

This August, I was lucky enough to visit New York with my family. I don’t know about you but I have always had that place in the world that I have wanted to visit and for me that is New York, so when I found out I would be going as my birthday present I was over the moon.

The trip completely lived up to my expectations and has made me want to visit it again!

There are so many things that I got the chance to do on this trip that were absolutely amazing and I am going to tell you about a few of them now.

One of my favourite things we got to do was going up the Rockefeller Centre. The day that we went the weather was incredible and it was so clear so we were extremely lucky with the weather – for me this meant that I got to take some great photos.

Another thing that I was lucky enough to get to do was go on a boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty, the view of the city and the sunset.

One of my favourite places that we went to eat was an Italian Restaurant called ‘Sant Ambroeus’. At the front there was a little deli, patisserie and ice cream parlour and at the back there was a restaurant. The food was actually insane – I had prosciutto and mozzarella to start and penne pomodoro as my main – I realised afterwards that I forgot to take pictures of them so you will just have to imagine how good they tasted 🙂 By the time we had finished dinner we were so full so had to come back for ice cream another time! I had mango sorbet and raspberry sorbet, which has always been my favourite – they also did really cool flavours like Blood Orange, which is the flavour my brother had and it tasted amazing. Once we got our ice cream and sorbet we went and took it to Central Park to eat, which was so nice as we went to lay down in the grass – it was just the perfect day.

Another one of my favourite parts of visiting New York was walking along the High Line so I am planning on writing another post specifically on it so that should be coming soon.

I really hope you enjoy this post, it is the first one I have done so I don’t really know how it has turned out. But let me know in the comments.
