Today I thought that I would let you know about my January Favourites. I have quite a few favourites this month, mainly because January is just after Christmas so I have been loving lots of the things I got for Christmas and I have bought a few new things with my Christmas money.
I will have all of the links that I can find to the products I have mentioned below – some of them I got as gifts and some of them I got quite a while ago.
I have heard so many great things about Sigma brushes but unfortunately they don’t sell the ones that I wanted in the UK. Luckily, my dad went to America for business so I asked him to pick up the two that I really wanted.
F15 – Duo Fibre Powder/Blush Brush (Black & Copper)
I have a slight obsession with rose gold and copper so when I saw the brushes came in copper I just knew I had to get my hands on them.
They are the softest brushes that I have ever used and I use the Duo Fibre Brush for both blush and powder, as it states in the name.
Soap & Glory Primer
I have been looking for a great primer for such as long time as I have very oily skin so I was looking for something to help my skin stay more mattifed throughout the day and also help keep my make up on for longer.
This primer is amazing – I have noticed that my skin is significantly less shiny throughout the day but it also isn’t drying on the skin. Another great thing about this primer is that it isn’t ridiculously expensive – you can get it for £10 from Boots – and it also lasts a long time because a little bit goes a long way.
Fleur De Force Lip Glosses
I have been wanting to try Fleur’s lip glosses for ages as I remember watching the video when she announced she was bringing out her beauty line.
I have the shades Written in the Stars, which is a lovely everyday nude colour which I wear quite often (shown below: top one).
I also have Starry Starry Night, which is a deep berry pink shade which I don’t wear as much but when I am feeling adventurous I do get it out (shown below: bottom one).
These lip glosses are so hydrating and stay on your lips for quite a while – I do find that I have to apply it again throughout the day but I don’t mind that because they are so lovely to apply.
Another thing that I really want to try from Fleur is the makeup bag because it is a gorgeous colour and it has rose gold details – I mean what more could you need? It also looks like a great size so I might have to treat myself to it sometime soon or ask for it for my birthday.
Tanya Burr Cosmetics Nail Polish
(Not available to purchase anymore)
When I saw that Tanya was bringing out a Christmas Beauty Range I got very excited because I love all of her products, especially the nail polishes. From the original collection my favourite is Penguin Chick.
I went away just before Christmas and was really sad that I hadn’t had a chance to get my hands on any of Tanya’s new Christmas products but when I got back there were a few things left in the sale and the nail polish that I had been looking for was still available so I ordered it straight away from Superdrug.
It is a gorgeous dark purple, berry colour that is great for Autumn & Winter but I also think you could get away with wearing in in Spring & Summer.
It also comes with some cute heart nail stickers, which I am saving for a special occasion.
(The packaging is also absolutely adorable)
I have been looking for a new jacket for such a long time and when I saw this in Topshop I just fell in love with it.
It was £50-60 so was quite expensive but I know that I am going to get lots of use out of it this year and into next year and I’m not going to grow anymore so I know I won’t grow out of it.
I don’t have a photo of the jacket but you can check it out using the link below.
Urban Outfitters Marble Effect Notebooks
When I saw these Notebooks in Urban Outfitters I fell in love – they are marbled and have copper on them – I mean what else do you need in a notebook?
I use the top one for my blog post ideas and have yet to find uses for the other two but I’m sure I will soon.
I have been talking about wanting to start a blog and maybe a YouTube channel for a while now and my mum knows that so for Christmas she got me a planner where I can write down my ideas and keep track of everything. I absolutely love it and have been using it a bit but do need to use it more, I have just been very busy with school work!
At the beginning of each month it has a cute quotation and for January it was ” Dreams don’t work unless you do”, which I thought was very inspirational.
It also has other sections such as New Year’s Resolutions since it was the beginning of a new year.
Another section that is has is content ideas, where you can write all of the different posts that you are planning.
The main part of the planner is just a normal daily calendar.
Olympus Pen E-PL7
I have seen Victoria from InTheFrow talk about this camera for ages and the first time I saw it I instantly fell in love with it.
Because I am properly starting my blog this year I thought that it would be a good idea to invest in a ‘blogging’ camera.
Before I bought the camera I read lots and lots of reviews about this camera to make sure that I was 100% sure that I wanted to buy it.
I also looked at loads of different websites to see where I could get the best deal.
I am so glad that I bought this camera and don’t regret it, it is just beautiful and is definitely a favourite for January.
When I got the camera it came with a strap but it wasn’t that nice so I looked all over the internet for a nice camera strap and I remembered Victoria talking about a company that she got her camera strap from.
I found this company ‘Sail’ online and ordered myself the natural coloured strap with copper details because, as you know, I am obsessed with copper.
I thought that I would also include some favourite songs of the month, here are my top 5:
History by One Direction
Adventure of a Lifetime by ColdPlay
Do It Again by Pia Mia
Sorry by Justin Bieber
These Days by Take That
Wow this is a very long favourites – I haven’t done one of these before and I have been wanting to do one for a while so that may be the reason 🙂
Let me know what you though of this post and also let me know your favourites below in the comments, I would love to know if there are any products you recommend.
