Favourite Vlogmas videos of 2016

Hey Everyone,

For my last post for Blogmas I thought I would do something a little different and more chilled, and share with you my favourite Vlogmas videos I have watched this year on YouTube.
I know Vlogmas is technically over for this year but I love to go back and watch these videos to keep the Christmas feeling going a little bit longer and I thought you might like to as well.

The first persons videos that I have been loving this year is Zoë Sugg aka Zoella – you might have guessed from some of my past blog posts that I am a huge fan of Zoë and her videos and she is a big inspiration for me. I have absolutely loved her Vlogmas videos this year as they never fail to put me in the festive spirit and make me feel all cozy and happy. Her videos are very long so they are ones to watch when you have a big more time to sit down and chill, but they are great none the less.

My favourite vlogs from Zoë so far have been ‘THE CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN BEGINS’ or ‘PARTY TIME’

PicMonkey CollageZ.jpg

Lily Pebbles is someone I have been watching on YouTube for a few years now and have been lucky enough to meet her twice and would have to say she is definitely one of my favourite Youtubers as she is so down to earth and I love all of her videos. This year she hasn’t done a Vlogmas where she uploads everyday, she has uploaded when she feels like it and has the time to, which I thought was great. I love the style of Lily’s videos and they always make me feel really relaxed and make me smile.

My favourite vlogs from Lily so far have been ‘I WON AN AWARD!’ or ‘IT’S SNOWING!’

PicMonkey Collage.jpg

I have also really been loving TheAnnaEdit – I was also lucky enough to meet Anna earlier this year and she was so lovely and I hope I get the chance to meet her again in the future. Anna has also not stuck to the typical Vlogmas style but has been uploading weekly vlogs with all the days combined which I thought was a really good idea and sometimes I find weekly vlogs easier to watch as each day follows onto the next nicely. Anna also quickly became in of my favourite Youtubers as she is always so smiley and positive and her videos never fail to put me in a good mood.

My favourite weekly vlog from Anna so far has been ‘The Christmas Vlog #2’

PicMonkey CollageA.jpg

I watch the Sacconejolys vlogs anyway on a daily basis but I love them even more during the Christmas period – they don’t do Vlogmas because they do daily vlogs anyway but I still wanted to include them.
I love seeing how excited Emilia and Eduardo get for Christmas and it makes me so happy knowing they have another little one on the way. One of the things I find so amazing about family vloggers is that, as a viewer, you can watch the children grow up and see how they change and  I find that so lovely and it must be amazing for them to be able to watch back their videos and see how their children have changed. There are so many videos to choose from for these guys so I can’t choose just one but definitely head over to their channel and give their videos a watch, you won’t regret it!

PicMonkey CollageSJ.jpg

Finally, Carly Rowena has also been doing Vlogmas this year and I love her vlogs anyway so Christmassy vlogs are even better! Carly is so happy and energetic and her videos always make me feel so motivated to get out and off my but to do something productive. Carly is another person who I was lucky enough to meet this year and she was so lovely and positive and I’m so glad I got the chance to meet her. Plus her dog Steven is too cute, why would you not to want to watch her vlogs?

My favourite vlog from Carly so far has been ‘VLOGMAS 7 & 8 – CRAZY YOUTUBE CHRISTMAS PARTY’

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Christmas Collection Haul

Hey Everyone,

Recently I picked up a few things from the Tanya Burr Christmas Collection so I thought I would share them with you.
This collection is limited edition for Christmas so make sure to pick up any items you want quite soon before they disappear.
These products would be a great gift for a friend or family member or even if you were doing a Secret Santa.
You can get the whole collection here at Superdrug: http://www.superdrug.com/b/Tanya%20Burr

‘It’s Kissmas’ Lip Gloss Duo

I’m not the biggest fan of lipgloss, I prefer lipsticks but I actually really like the formula of these – they are quite sticky in texture but the colour pigmentation is really good for a lipgloss. I like that they are easy to apply when you are in a rush and don’t necessarily have a mirror on hand.
The colours are also really beautiful for winter and are perfect for a Christmas party look.

Mrs Clause Manicure Set

I literally just live in burgundy, red and purple nail polish in winter and the run up to Christmas so when I saw this colour I knew I had to pick it up. It is a beautiful dark red/burgundy colour, which goes with pretty much everything I wear in winter.
These nail polishes don’t last very long but that is expected for the price they are sold at but other than that they are great.

‘It’s Cold Outside’ Blush & Highlight Set

I think this set is my favourite out of the four things I picked up.
Both the blush and highlighter are so beautiful and are perfect for winter – I have been wearing these most days when I go out.
The lipgloss is also a really pretty shade that you can wear with any make up look.

Beauty Advent Calendar

Unfortunately the advent calendar is now out of stock.
This advent calendar has 12 days so you can either open it every other day or every day which is what I did.
Each day you get a little Christmas beauty gift whether that is a lipgloss, a nail polish or a mini mirror.
I have already finished opening mine but every gift you get is so lovely and is great quality.

Christmas Books to read

Hey Everyone,

Today I thought I would share with you some Christmas books – I have read three of them but I have heard great things about all of them.

There is something really lovely about curling up with a good book in winter with a nice hot drink, especially a Christmassy book in the run up to Christmas.

Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle

I read this book a few years ago around Christmas and I thought it was a really sweet book.
It has three different romance stories which all connect together. The book follows three different teenagers as they experience a huge snow storm in the town of Gracetown at Christmas time.
It is a great book, probably for younger/teenage readers but is lovely to read during winter and leading up to Christmas.

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg

This book technically isn’t a Christmas book but it is set around Christmas time so I thought I would include it anyway.
I absolutely love this book, it has to be one of my favourite books; it is such a lovely story and I really feel like I connect with the main character Penny.
Girl Online is about 15-year-old Penny Porter, who lives in Brighton with her parents. Penny starts a blog ‘Girl Online’ where she talks about her problems such as friends and boys. Her family travel to New York to arrange a wedding and in New York Penny meets ‘Brooklyn Boy’ and it follows them both as their relationship emerges.

Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan

This is the third book in a series and I have read the first one and this one. It is definitely for slightly older readers but is a great book! It is a great book to read if you want a good Christmas romance! One of the things I love about it is that it is set in New York and it is my dream to visit New York at Christmas.
As I said, this book is part of a three book series set in New York about a group of friends. This book is about Eva Jordan who has been given the opportunity to house sit a penthouse on Fifth Avenue over Christmas. She finds out that it is still occupied by its gorgeous owner Lucas and it follows the story of them becoming friends.

The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

This is one book that I haven’t read yet but when Zoe Sugg (Zoella) released her second set of books for her book club I knew I had to pick it up as Christmas is approaching.
Lily’s beloved grandfather has suffered a heart attack, and his difficult road to recovery has taken a major toll on her typically sunny disposition. With only twelve days left until Christmas—Lily’s favourite time of the year—Dash, Lily’s brother Langston, and their closest friends take Manhattan by storm to help Lily recapture the holiday magic of New York City in December.

I hope you enjoyed this post and have found some reading inspiration for the Christmas period.
Let me know if there are any books you recommend to read in the run up to Christmas,

Zoella Beauty Christmas Collection Haul & Review

Hey Everyone,

Recently I picked up some products from the Zoella Beauty Christmas range for Christmas gifts so I thought I would share them with you today.
The whole scent for the Christmas range is gingerbread which I think smells incredible.
Check out the whole range here: http://www.superdrug.com/b/Zoella

Just Crackers

The first thing I picked up were these really cute Christmas crackers. I bought these for my friends for Christmas as I thought they were a really nice gift.
Each box comes with four crackers and they each have a different product inside. All the products are mini versions of some of the other products in the Christmas range – you get a mini shower glaze, a mini body lotion, a mini hand cream and a lip balm.

Hungry Hands Hand cream

The original hand cream was one of my all time favourite Zoella Beauty products so when I saw they had brought out one for Christmas in a gingerbread scent I got very excited.
It is such a great hand cream and is really moisturising, plus the scent is incredible!

Body lotion & perfume

Gingerbread & Bake My Day Fragrance Set

This would be another beautiful gift to give to a friend at Christmas – the scent is the same as the rest of the collection and this set comes with the Gingerbread body cream and fragrance mist.
The mist comes in a glass bottle so feels really high quality and I love the little gingerbread men on the back and the copper lid – it makes it feel really special.

Secret Scenta Mini Mist Set

This is such a great idea and is absolutely adorable! These would be the perfect gift if you were looking for a Secret Santa present or just a present for your friend.
The set includes a mini version of all the Zoella Beauty scents which I think is so cute!
They all smell amazing but my two favourites would have to be ‘Let’s Spritz’ or ‘Bake My Day’.

We Three Beauties Cosmetic Bag Trio

This is a set of three cosmetics bags which I think is a great idea as you can use them all for different things, either when you go travelling or to store your make up in, you could even use the glittery one as a clutch bag.
I am a bit of a make up bag addict so when I saw these I knew I had to pick them up as they are so beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
Do let me know which product is your favourite.

See you in a few days with a new post,

My Ultimate Christmas Playlist

Hey Everyone,

Today I thought I would share with you my Ultimate Christmas Playlist.
There are so many great Christmas songs and I put all of my favourite ones together.

I feel like there is something really comforting about listening to Christmas music. As December approaches and in the lead up to Christmas, listening to Christmas music really helps you get into the festive spirit.
There is nothing better than turning your music up and dancing around your room to Christmas songs or singing along with your friends.

In my playlist I have some of the great classics and some covers, my favourites being all the Glee ones as I am a massive Glee fan.

As I said in my Christmas Tag, my top 3 favourite Christmas songs (not counting the Glee songs) are:

1. All I want for Christmas is You by Maria Carey
2. Merry Christmas Everyone by the Shakin Stevens
3. Do they know its Christmas (2014) by Band Aid 30

I hope you enjoy listening to some of the songs on my Christmas Playlist!

Favourite Christmas PJs

Hey Everyone,

Today I thought I would share with you some of the Christmas Pyjamas that I have found this year that I really like.
You can find all of them either from Asos or Topshop and they will all be linked up below.

New Look Elf Pyjama Set

I saw this PJ set and thought it was so funny!
My mum isn’t a big fan of Will Farrel so wouldn’t let me get these but if you are a big Elf fan, or know someone who is a big Elf fan, I would recommend you getting these.

Chelsea Peers Skiing Penguin Pyjamas

This is probably the least Chrismassy set out of all of them but I have these pair myself and they are so soft and cosy.
I absolutely love wearing them as they are so comfy and would definetly recommend getting yourself a pair.
They are slightly more pricey but they are such good quality and fit really well.

Topshop Daschund Sleep T-Shirt

If you have someone in your life who loves Daschund’s or loves dogs in general then this would be a great Christmas gift.
It is absolutely adorable and would be great for any dog lover out there.

ASOS Christmas Gingerbread Man Pyjama Set

These are the pyjamas that I will be taking with me to wear on holiday as I am spending it in a hot country but I still wanted to be festive.
They are so cute with the little gingerbread people on the top and the snow flakes on the bottom and they are still really comfy.

New Look Home Alone Pyjama Set

This is another film related set but this time with home alone. If you are a fan of Home Alone you will get the reference but I really like this set as it looks so Christmasy while still being funny.

Asos Santa Oversized Sleep Tee

This is more of an oversized t-shirt/sleep t-shirt which I think can be quite nice. It’s quite a basic design which I like as sometimes you don’t want to go for something over the top – I also love anything grey so I really like this.

I hope you liked my choices – let me know if there is anything you are loving this year.

See you in a few days with a new post,

Top 5 Favourite Christmas Films

Hey Everyone,

I hope you are enjoying my Christmas posts so far! Today I thought I would share with you my Top 5 favourite Christmas films.
I feel like there is a film for everyone here and one for every age.

Home Alone 1-4

I have always loved the home alone films as they were some of the first Christmas films I ever watched when I was younger so they will always have a place in my heart. My favourite would have to my number 3 but I do love the original as well.

The storyline for the first one is that the large McCallister family is going on holiday and they accidentally their 8-year-old son Kevin at home. Lots of things happen while he is home alone and he has to protect his house from two thieves trying to break in.

Surprisingly, the first time I saw this film was last Christmas; I had heard everyone talking about it and I knew I had to watch it. It is such a funny film and will definitely make you smile.

Elf is about Buddy the Elf, who finds out he isn’t actually an elf so he travels from the North Pole to New York to find his real father and you follow his journey to find his family.

The Holiday

I really like this film as it is one of those feel good films that you can just put on and watch without really having to think about anything. I do have to say though that I prefer the half of the film with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law.
Plus have you seen Jude Law in this film 😍

This film is about two women who want to get away from their lives for Christmas so they do a house swap. And of course like any rom-com, they both meet a man and it follows both their stories to find love at Christmas.

I haven’t watched this film many times but I have great memories of watching it the first time with my family. I was on holiday with my parents, my brother, my aunt, uncle and cousins and we all sat down to watch it on Christmas Eve and we were all laughing and having a great time! It’s such a cute feel good film to watch that will put a smile on your face.

Nativity is about a primary school teacher who is trying to compete with another school with who’s nativity play is going to be the best and he boasts about how his ex-girlfriend is a Hollywood Producer who will be turning the play into a film, which isn’t true. So, he has to try and find a way to get his ex-girlfriend to come back and help them all out.

Love Actually

This film is a great romantic comedy and has lots of different story lines that come together which is one of the things I like about it.

Love Actually follows the lives of eight very different couples in dealing with their love lives, all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England.

New Year’s Eve

I know this isn’t technically a Christmas film but it is one of all time favourite films. I love to watch it all year round but in the winter especially it makes me feel very cozy and happy.

New Year’s Eve is similar to Love Actually as you follow the lives of several couples and singles in New York as they intertwine over the course of New Year’s Eve.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
Let me know what your favourite Christmas films are so hopefully I can discover some new ones.

Christmas Lush Haul 2016

Hey Everyone,

I recently picked up some products from Lush and thought I would share them with you. All the things I picked up were bubble bars as I’m not really a huge fan of bath bombs.

The Magic of Christmas

This bubble bar has to be my favourite of all the Lush Bubble Bars – it literally smells like Christmas. If I could recommend one to pick up that will put you in the Christmas spirit, it would be this one! It makes your bath water turn a beautiful orange colour with glitter and it smells incredible while creating amazing bubbles – what more could you want?

Ingredients: Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Almond essential oil and Sweet Orange Oil.

Peeping Santa

This is one that I picked up last year and I really like the scent of. It is sweet enough without being overpowering and I love that it turns the water bright red as it feels really Christmassy.

Ingredients: Bergamot Oil, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Geranium Oil and Olibanum Oil.

Candy Mountain

This is one of the first products that I have ever used from Lush a few years ago and I have bought it every Christmas since. If you are not a fan of very sweet scents then you won’t really like this as it is one of the most sweet scents out of the whole Christmas collection.

Ingredients: Vanilla Absolute, Cream of Tartar and Cornflower.

The Christmas Penguin

This cute little guy is a new one for this year I believe, and it is so cute I knew I had to pick him up. This one has quite a citrusy scent but it isn’t too overpowering which I find really nice.

Ingredients: Bergamot Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil and Orange Flower Absolute.

This is another one that I believe is new to the collection this year that I haven’t seen before. I saw this and knew I had to pick it up because it is so cute! It has quite a citrusy scent, which is nice as it is quite different to the typical sweet Christmas scents.

Ingredients: Brazilian Orange Oil, Cream of Tartar, Bergamot Oil and Glycerine.

Magic Wand

This one has the same scent as Candy Mountain so is very sweet. One thing it does do is leave you covered in glitter when you get out the bath which sometimes I don’t mind but other times it is quite annoying.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
Let me know what your favourite products from Lush are as well,

#TBF Christmas Q&A Tag

Hey Everyone,

I am part of #TheBloggingFriends Group where we share our love of blogging and have created a great friendship.
We decided we would put together a Christmas Tag and each of us would answer the same questions.
Hope you enjoy 😊

1.What is your favourite Christmas song?

This is such a hard question but first of all I love all the Glee Christmas songs!
If those weren’t counted then I would have to say my favourite song is All I Want For Christmas Is You by Maria Carey.

2. What is your favourite Christmas film?

I don’t think I can chose a favourite Christmas film because I love so many but it would probably have to be either Home Alone 2 or 3.
Next week I am sharing my Top 5 Favourite Christmas films so wait until then to find out my top 5.
Also, it doesn’t technically count as a Christmas film but I absolutely love New Year’s Eve.

3. When do you start feeling festive?

Honestly I start feeling festive at the beginning of September when Autumn starts! Christmas is one of my favourite times of year so I want it to last as long as possible.

4. Do you prefer traditional or modern Christmas decorations?

I have started to prefer more modern Christmas decorations recently has they have started to bring out more exciting colours, especially this year as there is so much copper everywhere!

5. What is your favourite Christmas advert?

This year I was really excited for the John Lewis advert, as I am every year but this year I was surprisingly disappointed. My favourite one this year has to be the M&S ‘Mrs Clause’ advert or the Heathrow advert with the two teddy bears.

6. White, multicoloured or something completely out of the box when it comes to Christmas tree lights?

On our tree at home we always have white lights but if it was up to me I would choose multicoloured lights.

7. Have you ever been on a Christmas holiday?
If so where? If not where would you like to go?

I spend most of my Christmas holidays in Mauritius with my family. My aunt, uncle and cousins live in Australia and we only get to see them once a year at Christmas so we meet them halfway in Mauritius, which is absolutely incredible.

8. Do you prefer going out or staying in at Christmas?

I prefer staying in at Christmas and spending time with my family but when we are on holiday we go out in the evening for dinner.

9. When did you stop believing in Santa?

I can’t actually remember when I stopped believing in Santa but I had to keep pretending I believed for my younger brother.

10. What is your favourite thing to do to get you in the Christmas spirit?

Watch a Christmas film or listen to my Christmas playlist.
This year I am having my friends round to watch a Christmas film and I can’t wait as I know it will put me in a such a happy, festive mood.

11. When do you put your Christmas decorations up?

I started putting up ones in my room at the end of October and beginning of November but we don’t put up proper Christmas decorations in our house and our Christmas tree until the beginning of December.

12. Basic or patterned wrapping paper? Or give bags because #GirlHasNoTimeToBeWrapping

I love patterned wrapping paper and I would chose pretty paper over bags because I actually really enjoy wrapping presents and making them look pretty.

13. What is your favourite winter tipple?

I’m not 18 yet so I can’t drink any alcoholic drinks but this year I have been loving the Gingerbread Latte at Costa – I’m not a big coffee lover so I have it quite weak but it is so yummy.

14. What is your favourite winter smell?

My favourite winter smell would have to be the orangey, cinnamon scent you get around Christmas time – whenever I smell it it instantly makes me feel cosy and happy and in the festive spirit.
The White Company ‘Winter’ candle is the perfect Christmas smell and I love it so much!

15. What has been your favourite Christmas so far and why?

My favourite Christmas so far would have to be when my grandpa spent Christmas with us as we don’t get to see him that much so it was so lovely to spend time with him and see him so happy.

16. What is your favourite Christmas food?

Apart from a Christmas dinner my favourite Christmas food would have to either be gingerbread or mince pies. I am a sucker for anything sweet so any sweet Christmassy treat draws me in right away!

17. What’s your favourite part of Christmas dinner?

My favourite part of the Christmas would have to be pigs in blankets but I also love turkey. Christmas dinner has to be my all time favourite roast dinner.

18. What is your most treasured Christmas memory?

My most treasured Christmas memory was when my other uncle and cousin came with us on holiday but the rest of my family didn’t know so it was a great surprise! The look on their faces when they saw each other was priceless!

19. Did you ever look for your presents before Christmas to see what your parent’s had stashed away for you?

I always used to try and find my presents before Christmas but never really succeeded. I am also really bad though because when packages arrive in the post I always try and guess where they are from and if they are Christmas presents.

20. Online, high-street shipping or handmade?

I always prefer online shopping as I find it so much easier, especially for finding presents for other people but I do love Christmas shopping on the high street sometimes as well because everything looks so beautiful at Christmas – one shop I love going into at Christmas is John Lewis as everything looks so pretty and festive.

I hope you enjoyed hearing what I love about Christmas.
