Hey Everyone, I hope you are enjoying my Christmas posts so far! Today I thought I would share with you my Top 5 favourite Christmas films.
I feel like there is a film for everyone here and one for every age.
Home Alone 1-4
I have always loved the home alone films as they were some of the first Christmas films I ever watched when I was younger so they will always have a place in my heart. My favourite would have to my number 3 but I do love the original as well.
The storyline for the first one is that the large McCallister family is going on holiday and they accidentally their 8-year-old son Kevin at home. Lots of things happen while he is home alone and he has to protect his house from two thieves trying to break in.
Surprisingly, the first time I saw this film was last Christmas; I had heard everyone talking about it and I knew I had to watch it. It is such a funny film and will definitely make you smile.
Elf is about Buddy the Elf, who finds out he isn’t actually an elf so he travels from the North Pole to New York to find his real father and you follow his journey to find his family.
I really like this film as it is one of those feel good films that you can just put on and watch without really having to think about anything. I do have to say though that I prefer the half of the film with Cameron Diaz and Jude Law.
Plus have you seen Jude Law in this film 😍
This film is about two women who want to get away from their lives for Christmas so they do a house swap. And of course like any rom-com, they both meet a man and it follows both their stories to find love at Christmas.
I haven’t watched this film many times but I have great memories of watching it the first time with my family. I was on holiday with my parents, my brother, my aunt, uncle and cousins and we all sat down to watch it on Christmas Eve and we were all laughing and having a great time! It’s such a cute feel good film to watch that will put a smile on your face.
Nativity is about a primary school teacher who is trying to compete with another school with who’s nativity play is going to be the best and he boasts about how his ex-girlfriend is a Hollywood Producer who will be turning the play into a film, which isn’t true. So, he has to try and find a way to get his ex-girlfriend to come back and help them all out.
This film is a great romantic comedy and has lots of different story lines that come together which is one of the things I like about it.
Love Actually follows the lives of eight very different couples in dealing with their love lives, all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England.
New Year’s Eve
I know this isn’t technically a Christmas film but it is one of all time favourite films. I love to watch it all year round but in the winter especially it makes me feel very cozy and happy.
New Year’s Eve is similar to Love Actually as you follow the lives of several couples and singles in New York as they intertwine over the course of New Year’s Eve.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
