Hey Everyone, today I thought I would share with you my Beauty Discoveries of 2016.
I discovered some amazing products in 2016 from Skincare, to Make up and more.
(From Left to Right)
Benefit They’re Real Tinted Lash Primer: I use this product pretty much every day without fail. I use it on days where I’m not wearing a full face of makeup, so when I go to school or just out and about. It is so great and makes your eyelashes look so long and separated. I also use it as it’s meant to be, as a primer underneath mascara and that also works really well.
Revlon ColourStay Foundation: I first discovered this foundation by chance when I needed a foundation for my school ball and I recently re-purchased it with the new pump lid and I have been reaching for it pretty much every time I want to wear a full face of make up.
Body Shop Lightening Drops: I have the most annoying problem of having ridiculously pale skin and I can never find a foundation that matches my skin colour. When I saw that these existed I was so happy and they have become my life saver! You just add these drops to your regular foundation and it makes it lighter, so you can match your foundation to your skin colour. They also do darkening drops to make your foundation darker.
Tanya Burr Lipstick in Pink Cocoa: This was a discovery I found towards the end of the year, about September time but I absolutely love it. Tanya released some new make up products, which included a range of lipsticks and I picked this one up and has become one of my favourite lipsticks. It is a lovely browny, pink and is perfect for autumn winter time.
Nars Highlighting Blush in Satellite of Love: This is meant to be a highlighting blush but I actually use it as a bronzer/contour shade and because I have very pale skin it works really well. It is slightly shimmery so it isn’t perfect for contouring but I really like it and use it regularly.
Hourglass Powder in Diffused Light: My mum got me this powder for my birthday and I absolutely love it. It is a nice alternative to using a mattifying powder as it makes your skin look more glowy and pretty. It is also lovely to use in the summer.
Tanya Burr Baby It’s Cold Outside Cheek Palette: I haven’t had this for very long but I just had to include it because I love it so much. The blush and highlight shades in this palette are beautiful and are perfect for autumn and winter but I would probably wear them all year round. It isn’t the best for travelling because the packaging is quite bulky but I would take it anyway because I use it all the time.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette: I have featured this palette in quite a few blog posts last year – I picked this up when I went to New York in August as it was cheaper over there but I love it. The shades are so beautiful and are such good quality and I have been wearing them a lot through autumn and winter.
SKINCARE & BODYCARE
Zoella Beauty Hungry Hands Hand Cream: This hand cream is from Zoe’s Christmas range and I absolutely love it. The scent is the first thing that I love because it smells of gingerbread and all things Christmassy but it also makes your hands feel so soft.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish: The cleanse & polish itself isn’t a new discovery as I have been using it for quite a while but at Christmas they released a new scent (sweet orange and clove) which is my all time favourite and reminds me of Christmas.
Huygens Exfoliating Cream: I first tried this product quite a while ago when I got a sample in a Birch-box and loved it so I purchased the full size. I don’t use it all the time, I just use it when I feel like my skin needs an exfoliate and it makes my skin feel really soft and clean.
Zoella Beauty Le Fizz: In the summer Zoe released a new range of products with a new scent and I love it. My two favourite products from the whole range were the Bath Fizzers and the Bubble Bath – they smell amazing and are the perfect mix for a lovely bath.
Aveda Stress Fix Bath Salts: These salts are so lovely and make me feel so relaxed. They have the most amazing smell that instantly make you feel relaxed, I use these in the bath whenever I feel stressed and need to chill.
Smith & Cult Nail Polish: 2016 was the year I fell in love with Smith & Cult Nail Polishes. I first discovered them when Anna from TheAnnaEdit talked about them on her YouTube channel and blog; when she mentioned the colour Doe My Dear I just knew I had to pick it up. When we went to New York in August I picked up three colours as they were cheaper in the US than in the UK. They still aren’t the cheapest nail polishes but they are such good quality and last so long on your nails so I would 100% say they are worth it.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
