Zoella Beauty Jelly & Gelato Review

When I saw Zoe was releasing a new collection this summer I practically squealed with excitement!
I am a huge fan of Zoe and everything she does, including her amazing beauty ranges.

I have done a few reviews of her ranges in in the past including her 2016 Zoella Beauty Christmas range and the Zoella Lifestyle Range.

The most important part of the product, THE SCENT.
When I ordered these products I didn’t actually know what they smelt like – I heard the description of what Zoe said they smelt like but hadn’t smelt them in person but I have loved all of the scents in the past so was pretty certain I would love this one too. And I was right…it is amazing!
I feel like I have similar tastes in scents to Zoe as I tend to like most of the same scents that she does.

The scent Zoe chose for this collection was Elderflower & Pomegranate with Double Cream.
This scent is perfect for summer because it is fruity but also light so it isn’t too sweet and overpowering.
I think this is my favourite scent out of all the Zoella Beauty Ranges.

The packaging of this collection is by far my favourite so far out of all of the Zoella Beauty collections so far.
I love all the bright colours and the creative packaging such as the shower shake with the little straw coming out of the top – it is all so cute!

When I ordered these products from Superdrug there was a 25% discount because they had just launched so all the products were a bit cheaper than they would usually be.
With the discount, the five products I ordered came in at under £30 which I thought was amazing!
These products are such high quality but they don’t come with that high price tag, which makes them so accessible and affordable for so many people.

All the products in the range are under £10, which is amazing!

Jelly & Gelato Cream Scrub £7.50

This scrub is so lovely to use because it is a cream scrub so it polishes your skin and moisturises it as well.
Sometimes when you use body scrubs they can dry out your skin but this helps that problem with the addition of the double cream.

Jelly & Gelato Shower Sauce £5

This is another great body wash by Zoella Beauty that smells amazing!
It is the only shower gel that I have been using since it arrived in the post (after I took these photos) and I have been loving using it in the shower.

Jelly & Gelato Body Pudding £8

This is a great body cream and is perfect for summer because it is moisturising but not too thick like a lot of body creams are.
The scent also lingers on the skin for a long time after you apply it, which I love as then you don’t have to put on a perfume or body mist afterwards.
It also has little beads within the cream that burst when you rub it into the skin to add extra moisture.

Jelly & Gelato Shower Shake £6

This is similar to the shower sauce but it is a moisturising body wash – this is great for when you are in a rush and don’t have time to put on moisturiser after your shower or you just don’t want to as it moisturises in the shower whilst you are washing yourself.
This product does really work as you get out of the shower with your skin feeling super smooth – if you use this with the cream scrub as well your skin feels incredible.

Jelly & Gelato Bath Frosting £7

I was so intrigued when I saw this product as I have never seen anything like it but I love the idea of it.
I often find that some bath products dry out my skin and I come out the bath and my skin feels quite uncomfortable but using this makes your skin feel so moisturised and soft afterwards.
In this cute box you get four sachets of the bath milk powder to add to your bath to create a lovely milky bath that will help moisturise your skin while you soak.
I love bubbles in my bath so I will add some of the milk powder then some bubble bath as well to create the perfect bath.

Yet again Zoe has out done herself and created another amazing Zoella Beauty range!
You can see how much Zoe loves creating these products as there is so much passion and love that goes into creating every single one and it is amazing to see the brand that she has created that everyone loves.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you thought of them.

See you next week with a new post,

Strawberry Picking

After I finished my A-Levels, my friends and I went to stay at the South Coast for a week with my family which was so lovely and we had an amazing time!
On one of the days we drove past this ‘Pick Your Own’ farm and thought it would be a great thing to do as the weather was so amazing.
As you may have seen in my Summer Bucket List post, picking my own fruit was something I wanted to do this summer so I was very excited when I saw this was near where we were staying.

We were there for about 2 hours and had a great time – it is such a simple and relaxing thing to do and I would highly recommend it if you have a Pick Your Own Farm near you. The one we visited was called Roundstone Pick Your Own Farm and it was so lovely.

We took some lovely photos whilst we were there so I thought I would share some of those with you!

As you may be able to see, we got a little sunburnt on this trip as we didn’t quite realise how hot it was going to be so didn’t put suncream on – so please excuse the awkward sunburn t-shirt line.

The jumpsuit I am wearing in these photos is from Hollister but I got it on ASOS and I absolutely love it!
I didn’t think I would be able to pull it off and I do feel like it looks a bit like I am wearing Pyjamas but it is so comfy and I have been wearing it so much since I got it.

Hope you enjoyed this post and liked seeing some of these photos.
If you haven’t been to one of these farms before I would highly recommend it as we had such a lovely afternoon!

See you next week with a new post,

Everyday Summer Make Up

As we are very much into summer here in the UK and have been having some hotter weather I thought I would share with you the make up products that I have been loving and using in the summer.

Most of the time in the summer I won’t wear any make up but when I do I try not to use too many products.
I don’t use all the products that I have shown at one time, I tend to alternate between different products.

I completely forgot about this when taking the photos but in the summer I love using a primer to help my make up say on all day and not melt off my face. As I have oily skin, using a primer also helps me stay a little bit less shiny.
The primer that I have been using at the moment is the L’Oreal Infallible Primer Matte Base and it really helps my make up stay on all day and reduces shine.

My foundation of choice for summer is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream which you have probably heard me talk about a lot already because it is one of my all time favourite make up products.
The reasons that I love it so much, especially during summer, is because it is very light-weight and you can barely feel it on the skin but it still gives pretty good coverage and also it has SPF 50+ and because I have very fair skin this is great as it means you have that extra protection for your face

Another product you have probably heard me talk about a lot is the Nars Soft Matt Complete Concealer.
This concealer is amazing for covering dark circles and spots (which I have quite a lot of at the moment) so I have been absolutely loving it and will definitely be re-purchasing.

I have tried quite a few powders over the past few years as I have quite oily skin so I have to use it every time I put my make up on, but I have always gone back to the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder because it is such good value and works as well as any high end powder.

There are two different blushes that I have been using this summer.
The first one I have been using is the Stila Watercolour Blush as it is perfect if you just want something quick and easy that won’t go cakey on your skin in the heat. I love it because it is a liquid formula so it is perfect for summer.
The second blush I have been using is from the Becca Afterglow Palette – I love this palette so much as it has such beautiful shimmery shades that are perfect for summer.

I only recently started doing my eyebrows because my eyebrow hairs are very light so I didn’t really see the point in doing anything with them until now.
I also recently got them shaped and tinted which was such a great decision as I can actually now see my eyebrows and it makes filling them in so much easier.
One really annoying thing for me is that I have ginger hair and my eyebrows are very light so I find it so hard to find any sort of eyebrow product that is the right shade for me.
However, I found this eyebrow pencil/wax from Hourglass that is in the Blonde shade but works perfectly and I love it – it also has a little spoolie on the end which is very helpful.
I also then add a little bit of the Rimmel brow gel to help set them into place.

Before I put on my eyeshadow I always use the Nars Smudge-proof eyeshadow base as it is so good at keeping your eyeshadow on all day without creasing.
I very rarely wear eyeshadow in the summer because I don’t really like the feel of it on my eyelids but if I do I have been reaching for this Mac single eyeshadow in ‘All That Glitters’ – it is a lovely taupy colour that is very easy to apply and will stay on all day.

Mascara is one of those make up products for me that I feel like makes the most difference because I have very light eyelashes that you can’t really see so when I put mascara on you can really see the difference.
If I am not wearing very much make up but still want a bit of mascara I will wear the Benefit They’re Real Tinted Primer as it really separates and defines your eyelashes.
If I am wearing a full face of make up then I will use Benefit’s Roller Lash as it is a bit darker.

Setting Spray

In the summer I always make sure that I put on a setting spray to keep my make up in place all day. My favourite setting spray is the Urban Decay All Nighter as it keeps my make up on all day and helps with shine.

On my lips in the summer I tend to wear brighter pinks rather than nudes but nothing too bold. I have been reaching for this tinted Vaseline lip balm recently and the Lancome Juicy Shakers as they give a hint of colour on the lips without looking too much.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that it gave you some make up inspiration!

Liebster Award Tag

The lovely Lisa from www.getfreefalling.com tagged me in the Liebster Award Tag last week which was so kind!
I am quite new to blogging so was surprised to see someone had tagged me in this so I was so happy.

I will answer the 11 questions I got from Lisa and will create 11 more questions for the people I nominate to answer.

What’s your blogging story? Why did you start blogging?

I have been following bloggers and youtubers for years and I have always loved the content that they create. I have also always been a creative person and I love photography, editing and things like that so blogging was something that really interested me.
I had been wanting to start a blog for years but it took me a while to build up the courage to actually create one but I am so glad I did because I love it so much and is something I am really passionate about.

What’s your favourite thing about the whole blogging process? Writing/take photos etc.

Photography has always been one of my favourite things to do so I would definetely say that taking photos for my blog is my favourite part of the blogging processes. I am quite new to blogging and taking blog photos but I am trying to improve how I take my photos.
I also love coming up with new ideas for blog posts and feeling inspired.

What is your feel good TV Show/cosy program?

I have so many favourite TV shows but the one TV show that will never fail to make me smile and cheer me up is Glee.

What’s your favourite Book?

I don’t have one specific favourite book but my favourite book series is ‘The Mortal Instruments’ by Cassandra Clare.

What’s the last embarrassing thing that happened to you? Or tell an awkward story.

I am a very awkward person in general and have many embarrassing things that happen to me but the most recent thing is when I was saying goodbye to one of my family members and I thought they were going in for a hug but they weren’t and it all was just very awkward and embarrassing.

If you could choose between flying and being invisible which one would you choose?

I would probably have to say being invisible because I hate heights so I would probably be too scared to fly even if I could.

What’s your favourite item in your closet?

At the moment my two favourite items in my wardrobe are a jumpsuit from Hollister and my denim jacket from French Connection.

What’s your music related guilty pleasure?

I love listening to the Glee music soundtrack as the songs are so amazing and I also love listening to Disney Channel songs such as ones from High School Musical and Camp Rock because they are the films that I grew up loving (and still love).

How can you be cheered up if you had a bad day?

If I am having a bad day I would usually spend most of the day in my room watching TV shows or films that I love and eating food that I love.
When I am having a bad day I get annoyed quite easily so I try to keep to myself.

Do you prefer taking a bath or showering?

It depends what mood I am in and the time of year – in the winter I love taking baths in the evenings to make myself feel warm and cosy but in the summer I love taking showers to cool down.

What is “your” smell? Your favourite candle, which perfume do you use?

My favourite perfume that I feel like is my ‘smell’ is Earl Grey and Cucumber by Jo Malone – it is a very unusual scent but I absolutely adore it!
I have a slight candle addiction and there are so many that I love depending on the time of year – in summer I love something fresh and fruity but in winter I love something more spicy and sweet.

  1. What first made you want to start blogging?
  2. What is your favourite part about yourself (e.g. eyes, hair etc)?
  3. What colour do you feel best represents your personality?
  4. What is your go-to cosy film?
  5. What is your favourite place you have visited?
  6. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?
  7. Who are your favourite bloggers?
  8. Favourite song at the moment?
  9. Favourite quote?
  10. What is your biggest pet peeve?
  11. What is your favourite animal and why?
