Today I thought I would share with you my Cosy Evening Routine Winter 2017 with what I typically do on an evening where I just want to relax and chill out.
On a cosy evening I will usually have dinner with my family or just my mum, depending on what day it is and who is at home but I tend to have it a bit earlier than normal so I have a bit more time to chill out and relax.
I love spending time with my mum in the evening so something that we have been doing the past few weeks or so, is we watch Gilmore Girls together on the sofa.
I watched the whole 7 seasons of Gilmore Girls over the summer and thought that it would be a show that my mum would really like so I suggested that we watch it together and we did and she really loves it! We finished season 1 and have nearly finished season 2 as well.
Usually when we are watching something on the TV I like to eat something sweet and at the moment I have been loving these two chocolatey treats which are the Mini Moos Diary Free Honeycomb Chocolate and the Mallow & Marsh Dark Chocolate Coated Raspberry Marshmallows. They both taste amazing and I feel less guilty about eating them because they aren’t as bad for you as say some Diary Milk chocolate.
You may have seen these in my November Favourites that went up last week as I have been loving them throughout the whole of November and now into December.
After I have watched one or two episodes of Gilmore Girls with my mum, I usually go upstairs and run myself a nice warm bath. Having baths in winter is one of my favourite things to do to because it just makes me feel so relaxed and warm; especially on days like we are having at the moment in the UK where it is just cold and miserable.
When I have a bath it has to have bubbles! My favourite products for bubbles at the moment are the Snowella Zoella Beauty Snow Scoop that comes in the Treasure Me big box and it honestly creates the most amazing bubbles and smells incredible!
You may have seen my previous post which was a Snowella Zoella Beauty Haul, but if not you can check it out here.
Another product that I love to use are the Lush bubble bars; whenever winter and Christmas time comes around I always love to do a Lush haul and get all the amazing bubble bars.
As it is December now and Christmas is coming up fast I thought I would use one of my Christmas bubble bars and today the one I am using is Candy Mountain; this is one of my all time favourite bubble bars from Lush as I love the smell of it and the fact that it turns your bath the most amazing shade of pink.
I did a Lush Halloween and Christmas Haul last month if you want to check it out here to see all the amazing bubble bars that I picked up.
After I have had a bath I dry myself off and pop on my favourite Christmas Pyjamas or my fluffy onesie, depending on how I am feeling and how cold I am.
I will then do my skincare routine and this will vary depending on how tired I am or how much I can actually be bothered to do but here is my Current Skincare Routine if you want to see the products that I use on a regular basis in more detail.
I then hop into bed to choose something to watch; at the moment I have been re-watching The Vampire Diaires because it is one of my favourite TV shows but it varies what I watch. Sometimes I watch Glee, or just the musical numbers from Glee because, again, it is one of my favourites.
If I’m not watching a TV show I will be watching some YouTube but it depends what videos there are to watch and who has uploaded. My favourite people to watch at the moment are my all time favourites of Zoe (Zoella), Lily (Lily Pebbles) and Anna (TheAnnaEdit) but my new favourite that I mentioned in my November favourites last Wednesday are The Devine Family – I love their videos so much and they never fail to make me smile.
I will usually watch something for a few hours then something I have been doing recently before I go to sleep is apply the Lush Sleepy to my body because I really struggle with getting to sleep so I have been trying this as so many people have said that it is incredible.
Then I will go to sleep, hopefully relatively quickly…or some nights I will just be awake for hours which isn’t fun.
I hope you enjoyed this post!
Let me know what you do to relax on a cosy evening.
