Today I thought I would share with you my February Favourites 2018; I didn’t get a chance to do a January Favourites so some of these favourites are from January as well as February.
Sorry it has been a while since I have posted anything; I have had a bit of a blogging block at the moment and have been lacking inspiration but I am trying to get back into blogging more regularly.
Heroine Make Up Mascara
At the beginning of this year my friend Hoi Hang sent me this amazing package with lots of Asian Beauty products and I have been using and loving them all, but my particular favourite has been this mascara.
It makes my lashes look so long and separated and that is exactly how I love my lashes to look – it makes them look natural yet super pretty. It is also the most waterproof mascara I have ever used!! It is unbelievable! So much so that I haven’t even found a product that can take it off.
This is another mascara that I have been loving this month; I picked this up when I was in Australia in January as my cousin was talking about it so it made me want to buy it and I have been loving it so far.
It is different to the mascaras that I usually use as this one has a bit more volume to it, which I don’t usually like but this one isn’t too much volume and it is super black which I love.
Glossier Super Bounce Serum
As the weather has been super cold at the moment, my skin has been much drier and dehydrated than usual so this product has come in very handy. I apply it in the morning and at night and it has made my skin feel much more hydrated and much better. I have also used it so much that I have gone through a whole bottle of it so have needed to re-purchase a new one.
At the beginning of February I got my ear pierced at Maria Tash in Liberty and I love it! It is my second lobe piercing on one of my ears and I have been wanting to get this piercing for such a long time.
I actually got the same piercing in October last year but it wasn’t in the place that I wanted so I took the earring out and let it heal up then I got it done again this month.
I got these earrings after I got my second piercing done as I thought they would go really nicely with my new piercing and I absolutely love them.
I had been looking for some little Rose Gold Hoop earrings for a while but never found the right ones until these – they are so pretty because they are simple enough but they do have a bit of detail on them that makes them more unique.
For Christmas I got some new glasses and I love them so much! I have discovered that rounder glasses tend to suit me better so that’s why I went for this shape.
I love the colour of them as they are a bit different and not what I would usually go for but the pinky/lilac shade is really pretty and they also have rose gold details which I LOVE because I love anything rose gold.
I have a lot of film favourites this month for some reason and I haven’t been to the cinema in so long but in January I went 4 times and saw 3 new films!
The Greatest Showman Soundtrack and Film
The Greatest Showman has to be one of my top favourites for the past few months. I have seen this film twice already and I am desperate to see it again because it was that amazing!
I love the cast for this film as I love Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya and their voices are amazing – the soundtrack to this film is just incredible! If you haven’t listened to it, seriously you need to!
I bought this speaker for myself after Christmas because when I was on holiday literally every one of my family members had one and they looked and sounded amazing so it made me want one! I have been wanting one for a while now but I could never find a colour that I really liked, until I saw this one on the Apple website; as soon as I saw it I fell in love and knew I had to buy it!
They are quite pricey but I had been saving up for one and for how good quality the sound is I think they are good value. They are also waterproof so you can use them in the shower and are great for the summer if you are at the beach or by the pool as you don’t have to worry about it getting wet.
I saw this film with my aunt and uncle when I was in Australia and I loved it! We were all a bit unsure about what to expect when we went in and my aunt wasn’t too keen on seeing it but when we came out we all said it was amazing and we were so glad we went. It is one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time – everyone in the cinema was laughing the whole way through!
The cast is amazing as they are all so hilarious – I would highly recommend going to see it or getting it on DVD if you want a good laugh.
Jane The Virgin
My best friend Sofia told me to watch this a while ago and I eventually got round to watching it and I love it.
It took me a while to get into but once I got into it properly I loved it and couldn’t stop watching it. I am now fully caught up with all the episodes so have to wait for the episodes to air weekly on Netflix.
I mentioned Jane the Virgin in my last post about my Favourite Netflix Shows of 2017 which you can check out here if you want to give it a read.
Talking As Fast As I Can Book by Lauren Graham
I got this book at the end of last year after I won a Twitter competition where I won a signed copy from Lauren which was super exciting as I never win anything!
I took this book with me when I went to St Lucia on holiday and read the whole thing and loved it.
My favourite sections were the ones about Lauren’s time on Gilmore Girls as it is one of my favourite shows and I loved hearing a bit about what happened behind the scenes.
If you are a Gilmore Girls fan or just a fan of Lauren Graham I would definitely recommend giving this a read.
I have been doing a bit of travelling the past few months and I have loved every moment of it! Travelling is one of my favourite things to do and I have been fortunate enough to travel to some amazing places in my life which I am so grateful for!
In January I travelled to Perth, Australia to visit my cousins who live out there and I had the BEST TIME!
I was out there for just under 2 weeks and it was amazing – my cousin showed me all the great places to go in Perth and it was such an amazing trip and I already want to go back!
Travelling to Australia was also my first trip ever travelling alone so that was a great experience for me and I actually loved travelling by myself.
At the beginning of February I went to St Lucia with my family – we had never been to St Lucia before so it was a new experience and it was great! St Lucia is such a beautiful island and everyone was so friendly.
It was so nice to get some warm weather but it did rain every single day we were there about 10 times a day but I didn’t mind that much because it was warm rain which is so much nicer than in England.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourites for January and February!
