What’s in my travel make up bag

What’s in my travel make up bag

Today I thought I would share with you what’s in my travel make up bag so what I take with me make up wise whenever I travel.
Recently I have been trying to streamline what’s in my travel make up bag and I’m getting pretty good at not over-packing, because I used to take quite a lot with me.
Also over the past few years I have picked up a few travel sized versions of my favourite products which really helps as it means you don’t have to take the full sized products so you save space.

When this post goes up I will be on holiday in the Maldives (ahh 😍😱🙈) so this post will be showing all of the products that I will be taking on this trip and what’s in my travel make up bag.

Make Up Bag

I got this make up bag for Christmas and I am in love with it!
It is from Anya Hindmarch so is pretty pricey but it is the only make up bag that I use now and I will be using it for a long time.

I love it because of the beautiful colours but also because it is split up into 3 different sections which makes it super easy to organise your products.
It is also not too big so it means I can’t fit too many products in it which is actually super helpful because that has helped me streamline what’s in my travel make up bag.

Make Up Products

If you have been following my blog for a while, a lot of these products will probably come as no surprise because I talk about how much I love them all the time but there are some new additions to my make up routine.

Face Base Products

Primer – Benefit Porefessional Mattifying Primer

I usually use my Too Faced Peach Primer that I LOVE but it is pretty much finished now so I saw this mini Benefit primer that looked pretty good so I thought I would try it for this holiday and see how I get on. I also liked that it was mini because it saves space.

Foundation – It Cosmetics CC Cream

Surprise, surprise…this is my foundation of choice! I literally haven’t used anything else since I discovered this. I also recently had to re-purchase my full sized tube because I have used it all up and I was so excited about this because I have never fully used up a whole foundation so it shows how much I love this stuff. It also shows how long it lasts because I have had my original tube for over a year!

Concealer – Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer and Bobbi Brown Corrector

This Nars concealer is my absolute favourite! I use it all over my face, under my eyes and on any blemishes I have. I am at the very bottom of my current pot so I’m going to need to buy a new one soon – it shows how much I love it because it is a pretty large pot of concealer.
I use the Bobbi Brown corrector under my eyes to help hide my dark circles and I love this one as it really works and makes a significant difference to my under-eyes.

Powder – Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder

This is my current favourite powder and I use it every time I do my make up – I use it to set my make up and help me stay matte all day. It is the only powder that I have found that actually stops my skin from getting oily quickly.

Face Colour Products

Blush – Nars Orgasm Blush mini

I got this mini Nars blush when I went to Lily Pebble’s book signing a few weeks ago as we got a little goodie bag with some make up products and I have been using it ever since.
I have wanted to try this blush for years but I never got round to buying it so when I got this mini version of it I was so excited. I love this blush and I think it looks so pretty and I’ll probably be wearing it every day from now on.

Highlight – Fenty Beauty Killowatt Highlighter in Mean Money + Hustler Baby

I picked up this highlighter recently in Harvey Nichols after I heard so many people talking about how good it was. I wanted to try something from Fenty Beauty but I wasn’t sure what to try until I saw this.
It is such a pretty highlighter and it is perfect for evenings or for when you are on holiday. I can tell that it’s going to be my go-to highlighter for the summer.

Eye Products

Brows – Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil mini + Glossier Boy Brow

I have been wanting to try the Benefit brow products for a long time but I thought I would use up the ones I have at the moment before I started a new one but when I was on the Boots website I saw this mini version of it and I couldn’t resist (I’m a sucker for anything in travel sized). I have used it a few times and I really like it so far but I will see how I get on on holiday.

You may have heard me talk about how much I love the Glossier Boy Brow already on my blog and that’s because I love it! I have used up a whole tube of the clear brow gel so I decided to try the blonde version because it has a tint to it and I love that one as well. I found that I don’t have to use a brow pencil if I use the tinted gel because it is so pigmented. However, so far I have found it quite hard to apply to get a good shape so I need to practice a bit more with it.

Eyeshadow Primer – Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

This is my all time favourite eyeshadow primer and is the only one that I can find that helps my eyeshadow stay on all day. I have quite oily eyelids so I find that eyeshadow tends to disappear quite quickly and creases if I don’t wear any primer so this really helps.

Eyeshadow – By Terry Ombre Blackstars

I have had these By Terry eyeshadows for years and I always come back to them because they are amazing; I haven’t used them in quite a while but I recently fell back in love with them. They are so easy to apply and they are so pigmented so they look so beautiful on the lid.

Lashes – Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and Heroine Mascara

As I mentioned in my last favourites post I picked up this mascara when I was in Australia and I love it! I love trying out mascaras and this is one of my favourites – it makes my lashes look so long and voluminous.
I also mentioned this Heroine Mascara in my February Favourites as well – I love it because it makes my lashes look so long and separated and it is super super waterproof so will be perfect for summer and for going on holiday.

Lip products

Lips – Glossier Lip Balm, Bobbi Brown Pencil/Crayon in Sunset Orange, Charlotte Tilbury in Pillow Talk

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick

This Glossier lip balm is my current favourite lip balm; it makes my lips feel so moisturised but what I especially love about it is that it has a matte finish which looks really pretty and I often just wear it on its own.

I got this Bobbi Brown Lip Crayon as I wanted to try a bright reddy-orange but I couldn’t find one that suited me, until this one. I now wear it every time I go on holiday and I can’t wait to wear it at home in summer because I feel like its a bit too bright for winter.

I have had these YSL lipsticks for years (bad I know) but I love them so much and I always come back to them. I love the nude because it is so easy to wear and goes with pretty much everything. The pink is also so beautiful and what I love about it is that it’s a balm kind of texture so it doesn’t look like it would be very pigmented but as you apply it it gets brighter and more pigmented so is so pretty.

I hope you enjoyed this post showing you what’s in my travel make up bag!
