Sorry there hasn’t been a post in a few weeks, we are currently moving house at the moment so everything’s been a bit hectic and all over the place. But I’m back with a new post today and I’m sharing with you my Favourite Mascaras.
For me, mascaras are one of the make up products that I like to try out from lots of different brands to find my favourites because mascara is one of the make up products that I always have to apply without fail and I am quite particular about the ones I like.
The mascaras that I like are ones that make my lashes look really long and separated, I don’ really like mascaras that have a lot of volume and make your lashes look clumpy and big.
Current Favourite Mascaras:
When I saw Tanya Burr Cosmetics were releasing a mascara I was really intrigued and wanted to try it, especially because it is a high street mascara and isn’t too expensive so I really wanted to like it and after trying it I really did.
It is a pretty natural looking mascara so it is really nice to wear when you don’t want anything too dramatic so is a great everyday mascara.
It also doesn’t feel too heavy on your lashes like some mascaras do so you barely even feel that you are wearing anything.
However, it doesn’t hold a curl very well so if I want my curled eyelashes to last longer I would choose a waterproof mascara over this one but I still really love it.
Heroine Make Mascara
I love love love this mascara! This was a gift from my friend Hoi Hang who got it in Hong Kong and it is the most amazing waterproof mascara ever…literally once it is on it is never coming off.
It also holds a curl like no other! If I curl my lashes then apply this my eyelashes will stay curled until I take the mascara off – it is amazing!
The one thing that did annoy me before was that because it is SO waterproof I couldn’t find anything that could actually get it off but recently I started trying the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm and I found that it could actually get the mascara off pretty well so I am very happy about that.
I bought this mascara when I was in Australia in January as my cousin was buying it and she said it was really good so I thought I would give it a try as I’ve heard really good things about it.
It did take a little bit of getting used to and figuring out how best to apply it but now I have been using it for a few months I really like it. When I first started using it I found it a bit clumpy but I keep using it and figured out how to apply it to make it work for me.
I currently only have this in a mini version but I love it so much!
I actually think I prefer it to the original version because it holds a curl so much better – I have pretty straight eyelashes so I always have to curl them but I found that most mascaras don’t hold the curl very well and I have just realised that the ones that hold the curl the best are waterproof ones.
Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara
I got to try this mascara when my best friend Sofia got it for me in a set for Christmas and I really like it.
I find that it is quite similar to the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara – it gives my lashes volume and length but without being clumpy. It is also super black so it really makes your eyes pop.
I have been using this primer for years and I initially started using it when I was at school to define my super pale eyelashes. I now get my lashes tinted so I don’t tend to use this as much anymore but I still really like it. I have super pale lashes so I needed something to help define my lashes but that was a really natural look that didn’t look too much like mascara and this really worked for me.
I also love it for wearing underneath my regular mascaras as it really helps separate and define the lashes.
My mum bought this mascara for me a few years ago as a gift and I loved it!
As the name suggests it is really good at helping hold a curl in your lashes without being a waterproof formula. I did find that it helped the curl but definitely not as much as a waterproof one.
I really liked how it made my lashes look as it helped separate and define my lashes in a natural way.
However, because it was pretty expensive I never got round to re-purchasing it because there are other mascaras that I have tried that I love just as much that are cheaper.
I actually found this in my collection when I was clearing out my make up and I know that it is a few years old so I definitely need to get rid of it.
But I would re-purchase this mascara again because I did really enjoy using it and would count it as one of my all time favourite mascaras.
