What’s in my Fjallraven Kanken Mini Backpack: Travel Edition

Today I thought I would share with you What’s in my Fjallraven Kanken Mini Backpack: Travel Edition because I am going to Portugal on holiday in a few weeks with my best friend.
I really enjoy reading these kind of posts so I hope you enjoy reading my version of one of these posts.

I did a post like this a few years ago where I shared what’s in my travel bag with my Longchamp backpack with a Travel Essentials post but I thought it was time that I did an updated post.

I personally think backpacks are the best bag to take when going travelling because they are the easiest to carry and it meant that you have free hands to do other things so makes the whole travelling experience less stressful as you don’t have a bag in your hand to worry about.

As this is only a short flight I don’t have very many things that I am taking with me but if I was going on a long haul flight I would take a bigger bag and would probably take some more things.

I am using this bag as I can use it when I am in Portugal when we are walking around doing things or going to the beach.

This backpack is the Fjallraven Kanken Mini; I do also have the larger size that I love and use all the time. I have used my bigger backpack on multiple long haul flights and it has worked out amazingly and it is the only bag I am going to be using from now on.
The colour I have for my mini is Plum and I absolutely love it! It is such a pretty colour and it goes with pretty much anything I wear and it is perfect for any time of year.

I got the mini backpack because it is perfect size

One thing I love about these bags is how they opens up because it unzips pretty much the whole way round the bag which means it is really easy to get things in and out of it and organise things really well as you can see everything that is in your bag.

The material means it is really easy to look after and clean because it is wipeable – it isn’t quite waterproof but it is the material that means it won’t get completely ruined if it gets wet.

Things I take in my carry on bag

Glasses  – whenever I travel I always make sure to take my glasses with me as when I am stressed I tend to get headaches so having my glasses with me helps reduce that and it also helps when I am watching films or reading on the plane.

Sunglasses – if I am going somewhere warm I always take my sunglasses with me in my carry on incase it is sunny when I get off the plane the other side. There is nothing worse then getting to your destination and needing your sunglasses when they are in your checked suitcase.

Book – sometimes when I am travelling I take a book with me on the plane to keep myself occupied. It is also good as if I don’t read it on the plane then I have something to read while I am on holiday.

Phone & Headphones – I always have my phone with me obviously and I always always remember to pack some kind of headphones or earphones to use while I am on the plane. I am a pretty nervous flyer so having headphones with me is a must as it helps keep me relaxed and distracted while I am on the plane.

Hand Sanitiser – airports and airplanes can be pretty dirty places so I try and always remember to bring hand sanitiser with me as it helps prevent against picking up random germs and getting sick.

Purse – I always bring my purse with me with my card, ID etc. in to use at the airport and when I get to wherever I’m going.

Some kind of snack – I like to bring some kind of snack with me on the plane for if I get bored or hungry and for if the plane doesn’t serve food or it isn’t very nice food.

Lip Balm – my lips are always super dry but it always gets like 10 times worse when I’m on a plane so I always try and remember to bring lip balm with me.

Portable Charger – I always bring some kind of portable charger with me on the plane just incase my phone runs out of battery because that is always a nightmare.

Nail File – I sometimes bring a nail file with me incase a nail breaks or something but not always.

Pen – I always have a pen with me just incase you need to fill in any documents such as landing cards when you’re on the plane.

Migreleve or Neurofen – I get really bad headaches and migraines so I always make sure I have some kind of pain relief for that whether it’s Migreleve or Neurofen.
