Zoella Beauty Jelly & Gelato Review

When I saw Zoe was releasing a new collection this summer I practically squealed with excitement!
I am a huge fan of Zoe and everything she does, including her amazing beauty ranges.

I have done a few reviews of her ranges in in the past including her 2016 Zoella Beauty Christmas range and the Zoella Lifestyle Range.

The most important part of the product, THE SCENT.
When I ordered these products I didn’t actually know what they smelt like – I heard the description of what Zoe said they smelt like but hadn’t smelt them in person but I have loved all of the scents in the past so was pretty certain I would love this one too. And I was right…it is amazing!
I feel like I have similar tastes in scents to Zoe as I tend to like most of the same scents that she does.

The scent Zoe chose for this collection was Elderflower & Pomegranate with Double Cream.
This scent is perfect for summer because it is fruity but also light so it isn’t too sweet and overpowering.
I think this is my favourite scent out of all the Zoella Beauty Ranges.

The packaging of this collection is by far my favourite so far out of all of the Zoella Beauty collections so far.
I love all the bright colours and the creative packaging such as the shower shake with the little straw coming out of the top – it is all so cute!

When I ordered these products from Superdrug there was a 25% discount because they had just launched so all the products were a bit cheaper than they would usually be.
With the discount, the five products I ordered came in at under £30 which I thought was amazing!
These products are such high quality but they don’t come with that high price tag, which makes them so accessible and affordable for so many people.

All the products in the range are under £10, which is amazing!

Jelly & Gelato Cream Scrub £7.50

This scrub is so lovely to use because it is a cream scrub so it polishes your skin and moisturises it as well.
Sometimes when you use body scrubs they can dry out your skin but this helps that problem with the addition of the double cream.

Jelly & Gelato Shower Sauce £5

This is another great body wash by Zoella Beauty that smells amazing!
It is the only shower gel that I have been using since it arrived in the post (after I took these photos) and I have been loving using it in the shower.

Jelly & Gelato Body Pudding £8

This is a great body cream and is perfect for summer because it is moisturising but not too thick like a lot of body creams are.
The scent also lingers on the skin for a long time after you apply it, which I love as then you don’t have to put on a perfume or body mist afterwards.
It also has little beads within the cream that burst when you rub it into the skin to add extra moisture.

Jelly & Gelato Shower Shake £6

This is similar to the shower sauce but it is a moisturising body wash – this is great for when you are in a rush and don’t have time to put on moisturiser after your shower or you just don’t want to as it moisturises in the shower whilst you are washing yourself.
This product does really work as you get out of the shower with your skin feeling super smooth – if you use this with the cream scrub as well your skin feels incredible.

Jelly & Gelato Bath Frosting £7

I was so intrigued when I saw this product as I have never seen anything like it but I love the idea of it.
I often find that some bath products dry out my skin and I come out the bath and my skin feels quite uncomfortable but using this makes your skin feel so moisturised and soft afterwards.
In this cute box you get four sachets of the bath milk powder to add to your bath to create a lovely milky bath that will help moisturise your skin while you soak.
I love bubbles in my bath so I will add some of the milk powder then some bubble bath as well to create the perfect bath.

Yet again Zoe has out done herself and created another amazing Zoella Beauty range!
You can see how much Zoe loves creating these products as there is so much passion and love that goes into creating every single one and it is amazing to see the brand that she has created that everyone loves.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you thought of them.

See you next week with a new post,

Strawberry Picking

After I finished my A-Levels, my friends and I went to stay at the South Coast for a week with my family which was so lovely and we had an amazing time!
On one of the days we drove past this ‘Pick Your Own’ farm and thought it would be a great thing to do as the weather was so amazing.
As you may have seen in my Summer Bucket List post, picking my own fruit was something I wanted to do this summer so I was very excited when I saw this was near where we were staying.

We were there for about 2 hours and had a great time – it is such a simple and relaxing thing to do and I would highly recommend it if you have a Pick Your Own Farm near you. The one we visited was called Roundstone Pick Your Own Farm and it was so lovely.

We took some lovely photos whilst we were there so I thought I would share some of those with you!

As you may be able to see, we got a little sunburnt on this trip as we didn’t quite realise how hot it was going to be so didn’t put suncream on – so please excuse the awkward sunburn t-shirt line.

The jumpsuit I am wearing in these photos is from Hollister but I got it on ASOS and I absolutely love it!
I didn’t think I would be able to pull it off and I do feel like it looks a bit like I am wearing Pyjamas but it is so comfy and I have been wearing it so much since I got it.

Hope you enjoyed this post and liked seeing some of these photos.
If you haven’t been to one of these farms before I would highly recommend it as we had such a lovely afternoon!

See you next week with a new post,

Liebster Award Tag

The lovely Lisa from www.getfreefalling.com tagged me in the Liebster Award Tag last week which was so kind!
I am quite new to blogging so was surprised to see someone had tagged me in this so I was so happy.

I will answer the 11 questions I got from Lisa and will create 11 more questions for the people I nominate to answer.

What’s your blogging story? Why did you start blogging?

I have been following bloggers and youtubers for years and I have always loved the content that they create. I have also always been a creative person and I love photography, editing and things like that so blogging was something that really interested me.
I had been wanting to start a blog for years but it took me a while to build up the courage to actually create one but I am so glad I did because I love it so much and is something I am really passionate about.

What’s your favourite thing about the whole blogging process? Writing/take photos etc.

Photography has always been one of my favourite things to do so I would definetely say that taking photos for my blog is my favourite part of the blogging processes. I am quite new to blogging and taking blog photos but I am trying to improve how I take my photos.
I also love coming up with new ideas for blog posts and feeling inspired.

What is your feel good TV Show/cosy program?

I have so many favourite TV shows but the one TV show that will never fail to make me smile and cheer me up is Glee.

What’s your favourite Book?

I don’t have one specific favourite book but my favourite book series is ‘The Mortal Instruments’ by Cassandra Clare.

What’s the last embarrassing thing that happened to you? Or tell an awkward story.

I am a very awkward person in general and have many embarrassing things that happen to me but the most recent thing is when I was saying goodbye to one of my family members and I thought they were going in for a hug but they weren’t and it all was just very awkward and embarrassing.

If you could choose between flying and being invisible which one would you choose?

I would probably have to say being invisible because I hate heights so I would probably be too scared to fly even if I could.

What’s your favourite item in your closet?

At the moment my two favourite items in my wardrobe are a jumpsuit from Hollister and my denim jacket from French Connection.

What’s your music related guilty pleasure?

I love listening to the Glee music soundtrack as the songs are so amazing and I also love listening to Disney Channel songs such as ones from High School Musical and Camp Rock because they are the films that I grew up loving (and still love).

How can you be cheered up if you had a bad day?

If I am having a bad day I would usually spend most of the day in my room watching TV shows or films that I love and eating food that I love.
When I am having a bad day I get annoyed quite easily so I try to keep to myself.

Do you prefer taking a bath or showering?

It depends what mood I am in and the time of year – in the winter I love taking baths in the evenings to make myself feel warm and cosy but in the summer I love taking showers to cool down.

What is “your” smell? Your favourite candle, which perfume do you use?

My favourite perfume that I feel like is my ‘smell’ is Earl Grey and Cucumber by Jo Malone – it is a very unusual scent but I absolutely adore it!
I have a slight candle addiction and there are so many that I love depending on the time of year – in summer I love something fresh and fruity but in winter I love something more spicy and sweet.

  1. What first made you want to start blogging?
  2. What is your favourite part about yourself (e.g. eyes, hair etc)?
  3. What colour do you feel best represents your personality?
  4. What is your go-to cosy film?
  5. What is your favourite place you have visited?
  6. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?
  7. Who are your favourite bloggers?
  8. Favourite song at the moment?
  9. Favourite quote?
  10. What is your biggest pet peeve?
  11. What is your favourite animal and why?

  1. Ella May Garret (ellamaygarrett.com)
  2. Dreaming of Pink (dreamingofpink.wordpress.com)
  3. Elsie LMC (elsielmc.wordpress.com)
  4. Makeupandcosmetics (makeupandcosmeticssite.wordpress.com)
  5. Femme Rewritten (femmerewritten.com)
  6. Carly (artsysmartz.com)
  7. Luxelifeadventures (luxelifeadventures.wordpress.com)

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I look forward to reading the posts from everyone who I nominated!

Thank you again to Lisa for nominating me, it was very kind!

New York High Line

I have been lucky enough go to New York the past two summers and it quickly became one of my favourite places in the world. I took so many photos as I wanted to capture the memories and have them to look back on.
One of my favourite things that we did on these trips was visit the High Line. It is amazing because it is this long stretch of this old railway line that has been transformed into a beautiful garden walkway.
The views of the city below are incredible, there are amazing pieces of artwork all along it as well as so many beautiful plants and flowers.

We only managed to walk a small part of it because it was so hot but we also got distracted by the Chelsea Markets which are located underneath part of the High Line.

I have lots of photos that I took from when we visited and I wanted to share some of them with you – I hope you like them.

This is a really cute cafe under the stairs at the start of the High Line.

When we went the first time there was this stand selling shaved ice called ‘People’s Pops’ and to make it they scraped the ice off a solid block of ice right in front of you, which was so cool!
They have lots of different flavours of syrup that change every day – the flavour we had was lime and chamomile and it was so delicious and perfect for a hot summers day.

I know this was a bit of a random post but I hope you enjoyed seeing my photos.
If you are ever in New York, especially in the summer, I would highly recommend visiting the High Line.

This post isn’t one of my usual ones but on Tuesday evening I got a notification on my phone saying I had 100 FOLLOWERS on my blog and I was over the moon!

I know for most people that won’t be a very big number but for me it is huge!
When I first started my blog I never thought anyone would actually read it, let alone 100 people and I am so happy and grateful for that.

Blogging for me is one of my happy places and something I adore – if I could I would spend all my time and energy focusing on making my blog better and putting out more content.

After my exams are over I am going to put a lot more time into it and I have lots of plans for what I want to do such as focus on the design more and get a new theme, improve my photography and much more.

Thank you again for everyone who follows my blog, likes and comments on my post or reads my posts – it means the world to me and I can’t wait to see where this takes me.

See you next week with one of my usual posts,

May Favourites 2017

Today I’m doing another Monthly Favourites, I haven’t done one of these posts since March because I don’t really try many new things because I’m at school most of the time!

I have a few favourites though that I have been loving over the past month or so – a few of them you may have seen already in my ‘What I got for my 18th Birthday’ post.

I have two beauty favourites this month – the Hourglass lip stylo in ‘Creator’ and Mac ‘All That Glitters’ Eyeshadow.

I had heard so many beauty bloggers talking about the Hourglass lip stylo and I thought I would look into it and see what all the hype was about. When my mum and I were in John Lewis I thought I would give it a try and I fell in love with it. When I first saw the list of names for the lipsticks I really loved ‘Creator’ but didn’t know it would suite me but when I tried it on it actually did which I was really happy about.

I got this Mac eyeshadow when I was in Dubai airport as I was looking for a new eyeshadow to wear on holiday. The lady didn’t actually tell me what the shade was called and when I looked at it later I noticed it was ‘All That Glitters’ which is an eyeshadow I remember Lily Pebbles saying that she loved.
I tried it on when I was on holiday and loved it and wore it every day after that. It is such an easy eyeshadow to wear and you can wear it alone or with other eyeshadows but it looks so beautiful and I have been wearing it every since (when I do wear choose to wear make up).

I have one fashion favourite this month which is this beautiful pair of embroidered jeans from Topshop. My mum saw these and ordered them for me and when I saw them I fell in love!

Topshop jeans are my favourite jeans because they fit me so well and they are so comfy – the only downside for me is that when you wash them they discolour quite quickly and because they aren’t the cheapest, this can be quite annoying.

I love the embroidery on the back of these jeans as they add a little bit extra to a plain outfit. I am definitely going to be wearing these the whole way through spring and summer.

You may have seen this items already in my ‘What I got for my 18th birthday’ post but I have been wearing them all ever since I got them because I love them so much.
They all go so well together and also go with pretty much everything I wear so they have been firm favourites for May and will be for the rest of the year.

I have been looking for a card holder for ages as I wanted something that I could just keep a few cards in and a bit of cash when I didn’t want to take my whole purse with me and when I saw this one on Asos I knew it was perfect.
I love the colour of it and it is such good quality because it is from Whistles and I can’t wait to use this properly.

Earlier this month Lily Pebbles and Anna Gardner, from TheAnnaEdit, announced that they would be doing a podcast and I was very excited about this because I am a huge fan of Lily and Anna and they are my favourite YouTubers and Bloggers so anything they release I get very excited for.
I have listened to all the episodes so far (only 3 at the moment) and my favourite one so far was with Kate La Vie.
I love how they have created something a bit different that isn’t necessarily beauty or fashion related and I really like that. I can’t wait for more episodes to come out.
The episodes are available every Wednesday at 6am and you can listen to the podcasts on the Apple Podcast app or the Acast app. Find it here.

I have also been watching the Vampire Diaries for the past few months. So many people had told me to watch this and finally I decided to give it a go as I needed something new to watch and I love it.
There is a lot of blood and guts in it as you would expect with a show about Vampires and I am not great with blood but I just try to ignore that part of it.
I am currently on Season 5 and am loving it – I do know lots of what happens in future Seasons like who dies and what relationships happen but that doesn’t really bother me and I am still going to keep watching.
My favourite character is Alaric for some reason…I don’t really know why but I think he is really funny and just great! I also love Damon with all of his witty and sarcastic comments. And Damon and Alaric’s friendship is just so cute.

I hope you enjoyed hearing about what I have been loving for the past few months.
Let me know if you have tried, watched or listened to anything I mentioned – especially Lily and Anna’s podcast as I would love to chat to people about it.

See you next week with a new post,

Riverdale Season 1 Review

Today I thought I would do something a little different and review the TV Show Riverdale. Season 1 of Riverdale recently finished so I thought I would share my thoughts about it.

Riverdale is an American teen drama TV series based on the characters from the Archie Comics. It is about a group of teenagers and their life surrounding the murder of their classmate Jason Blossom. We follow this group of characters as they try and find out who did this horrible thing and their struggles on the way.

*Spoiler Warning*
There will be spoilers in this post so if you haven’t watched the show then I would recommend watching it before reading this.

I had heard about Riverdale for a while before I started to watch it and I had heard lots of good things about it. But I had also heard that it was very dark and scary and I don’t usually watch things like that.
But eventually I took the plunge and just started watching it and I fell in love with it!
It isn’t nearly as dark and scary as people made it out to be, which I was very relieved about.

The Plot

Overall I think the plot idea was really good! I love how we didn’t find out who killed Jason until right at the very end because it kept you waiting and kept you on edge until the very end. However, one thing that did annoy me was that there were no clues to who the killer was throughout the show – I love it when you can figure out who might have been the killed throughout the show and have some ideas but in this case there were no hints and I had no idea!
I also don’t think it was greatly written and I find some of the lines they say sooo cringey and badly written, especially in Episode 1, but the show still kept me hooked and I wanted to keep watching.

I am very intrigued about what they are going to do with Season 2 – especially because of how episode 13 ended with Archie’s dad being shot.
I am very happy that season 2 will have 20 episodes because 13 definitely wasn’t enough for me.

Least Favourite Episode:

I would have to say my least favourite episode was episode 3 because I felt like it didn’t add anything to the storyline.
It emphasised the stereotypes of jocks being mean and treating girls badly and made it seem like women can’t protect themselves and made them seem weak, which I didn’t really like. I also didn’t like the bit with Betty and Veronica with Chuck in the swimming pool because it made Betty seem really violent and I wasn’t a fan of ‘Dark Betty’ in this scene.

Favourite Episode:

It is so hard to choose a favourite episode but it would probably have to be episode 12 or 13 as they were both so intense and I was on the edge of my seat the whole way thorough both of them.
The last 10 minutes of episode 12 were so suspenseful as we were waiting to find out who killed Jason and I was quite surprised with who it was but I also had suspicions throughout the season and he was one of those.

The Characters and Cast

Riverdale (1).jpg

I love all of the actors on this show – I love how well they work together and I think they are all great actors!

BETTY – At the start of the show we see her as the perfect girl with the perfect life – she has her perfect nuclear family and is in love with the boy next door but as the show progresses we see that this isn’t the case and her family life is the opposite of perfect and that she falls in love with the boy from the ‘wrong side of the tracks’.
I like how we see her standing up for herself, especially with her mum and I love how much she cares about other people and always wants to make things right and she does this by trying to figure out who killed Jason.
I love how strong she is and how she never lets anything go that is important to her, such as when she wanted to find her sister Polly, she was the one that went to find her and got her to come home.
I also like how we see her ‘dark-side’ as it shows she isn’t just a one-sided character and we do see that she has her own inner demons just like everyone else does.
I think that alongside Jughead, Betty is my favourite character.

ARCHIE – I don’t really have much to say about Archie; I do like him as a character but I don’t find there to be anything interesting about him. I also hate is part of the storyline with Miss Grundy.
The only episode I found him particularly interesting in was Episode 13 where he went to save Cheryl from drowning and he was punching the ice. I found this was a much more interesting side to Archie and would love to see more of that in Season 2.
I feel like as Archie is one of the main characters they should have made more of an effort to add more depth to his character.

VERONICA – I do like Veronica as a character and I love her friendship with Betty and Archie but I find her lines are the most worst dialogue out of all the characters. I feel like the writers are trying to make her seem too cool and are trying to be too up to date that they went a bit overboard. Another thing that bothers me is how she dresses, I understand that she is rich and used to live in New York but seriously, who wears pencil skirts, pearls and heels to school?

JUGHEAD – I think Jughead is one of my favourite characters, partly because I have loved Cole Sprouse ever since I saw him on the Suite Life of Zack and Cody and the Suite Life on Deck, but I love his character as well.
I love how witty and clever he is without being over the top and I love it when we see sides to him that show his sensitive side and when he is more vulnerable.
I also love his relationship with Betty; I love how it opens up that vulnerable side and we see that when they are together.
One thing that I don’t really like about him is the narration that he gives throughout the episodes, I don’t think it adds much to the show and I feel like it takes away from his character rather than adds to it.

CHERYL – I think Cheryl is a crazy person but I love that about her!
She does have a troubled life as her brother died and her parents are also creepy and slightly crazy. Especially when she finds out her father killed her brother this pushes her over the edge and she tries to kill herself and burn her house down.
I feel like if she wasn’t a total bitch most of the time, her character wouldn’t be very interesting and she would get a bit lost in the show.
However, I do find her quite annoying because she flits between being a total bitch and trying to get people to like her and that did start to bother me towards the end. I also find that sometimes they go a bit too far with how crazy she can be.
Also, her hair is just incredible! I also have ginger hair but hers is just amazing and I wish mine looked like hers did all the time!

Kevin: I really like Kevin as I think he is really funny and I love his friendship with Betty but I do feel like the writers overdid the whole ‘Gay Best Friend’ thing. I do also like how his father is the Sheriff as that adds to the drama of the show.

Random side-note:

Another thing that I absolutely love about the show is how aesthetically and visually pleasing it is. All the shots are framed so nicely and carefully and the colours are so vibrant and contrasting and I love it!
I do Media A-Level so things like this are always very pleasing to me.

Overall I really love Riverdale and I can’t wait for it to come back for Season 2. I love the actors in the show and the characters and parts of the plot but I do think that there are areas for improvement such as with the lines and the dialogue. But it is only in Season 1 so I can’t wait to see where the writers and the actors take the show in Season 2.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post!

Let me know if you have watched Riverdale and what you thought about it because I would love to talk to you guys about it.

What I got for my 18th birthday

I thought I would share with you some of the things that I got for my 18th Birthday!
These are some of my favourite posts to read so I thought I would share one of my own.
I got some amazing gifts this year and I am so unbelievably lucky to have such amazing friends and family.
I am not writing this post to brag or anything like that I just love reading these posts myself so I thought some of you might be interested.

Parents & Family

From my parents I got this beautiful bracelet from Monica Vinader.
My mum asked me what I wanted for my birthday and this is the one thing that I said I would love and she was kind enough to get it for me.
She also got my birthday engraved on the front, which made it extra special and will be a great reminder of my 18th Birthday.

They also got me this beautiful Maria Black ring. I have had my eye on this ring for so long and my friend Sofia has one as well and I just love it!
It is so simple but so beautiful and I have been wearing it every day since I got it.

My parents also kindly got me these awesome Ray Ban Sunglasses – I have had my eye on sunglasses like these for a while now and I wasn’t sure if they would suit me but I actually really like them!

I went shopping with my mum a few weeks before my birthday and saw this oversized denim jacket and it was just what I had been looking for for ages so my mum said that she would get it for me as an early birthday present – I haven’t actually had a chance to wear it get because it hasn’t been warm enough in the UK but I love it!

My mum also got me some really cute pins to put on it. My favourite one is probably the Olaf one but I don’t think I would actually wear it out – my mum knows how much I love Olaf so she got me a cute pin version of him.

My mum got my these stunning sandals that are so comfortable and I can’t wait to wear them in summer.

I love this super cute pencil case/pouch I got from my mum – it is such a pretty colour and I love the quote on the front. The weird looking object to the right is actually a memory stick which I think is so cool! I do ICT and Media as A-Levels so my mum thought it would be an appropriate gift.

I know it’s a very childish gift for an 18 year old but ever since I was little I have had bunny soft toys and I have been looking at this one for ages so my mum got him for me which was so sweet.

I also got these incredible biscuits from Biscuiteers from my aunt, uncle and cousin which I absolutely love!! They are so beautiful and taste amazing!!

FullSizeRender 3

From my friend Sofia I got this amazing Olympus camera strap for my Olympus Pen which I use to take my blog photos on and this Ted Baker ring.
These gifts were so thoughtful and I love them both so much!
And I know Sofia will probably be reading this, so thank you so much!!

My friend Freya got me this beautiful necklace and this amazing smelling hand cream. The necklace is so pretty and I wore it for my birthday meal and I can’t wait to wear it more.

My other friend Gina got me these super cute earrings and necklace. When I was younger I had an obsession with owls and I still love them today and it was such a sweet gift and I can’t wait to wear them.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post!

See you next week with a new one,
